This is a busy July for the Fotofono. On July the 12 we will be hosting
another concert organized by the wonderful Rasbliutto label.
This show is part of the Three Days festival of improvised
music that will take place in various locations throughout
Brooklyn from July 10 to the 12.
The whole program promises to bring about a fantastic round of performances.
Visiting artists Gust Burns, Margarida Garcia and Vic Rawlings will
perform various solo/combo sets with a selection of NYC based improvisers
that include Aki Onda, Barry Weisblat, Kenta Nagai and several others.
I am happy to be also part of this event, playing the amplified slide
projectors with Andrew Lafkas and Margarida Garcia, both on double bass.
Please check out the Rasbliutto
website for all the details and the complete listing of the Three
Days festival.
Here's the lineup for the Fotofono evening:
Solo - Vic Rawlings: surface electronics, amplified
cello
Duo - Gust Burns: electronics & Gregory Reynolds: alto saxophone
Duo - Steve Flato: open circuit electronics & Richard Kamerman:
electronics, motors, objects
Trio - Andrew Lafkas: doublebass, Margarida Garcia: doublebass, &
mpld: images, light, sound
